Countdown to Asia’s Premier Business Aviation Event
Just Over One Month Until ABACE2012
The potential for business aviation in Asia is enormous, given the region’s population, economic activity, and need for transportation to cover the distances between business locations. These factors explain the importance of the Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2012).
The Show, being presented in partnership with the Shanghai Airport Authority and co-hosted by the National Business Aviation Association, the Asian Business Aviation Association and the Shanghai Exhibition Company, will be held on the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport in the new Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre from March 27 to 29, 2012.
This bulletin is among a series of special reports produced to provide news, highlights and other information as momentum continues building for ABACE2012, which will be the premier industry event in the region.

Online ABACE2012 Registration Open
Online registration for ABACE2012 is open for Attendees, Exhibitors and members of the press, allowing registrants to sign up ahead of the show for complete access throughout the three-day event, including the Exhibit Hall and Exhibit Pavilion, the Static Display of Aircraft and the Opening General Sessions and Education Sessions. View the ABACE2012 Attendee Registration form, or the ABACE2012 Exhibitor Booth Staff Registration form, or the ABACE2012 Press Registration form.

Those traveling to Shanghai from outside China to attend ABACE2012 will need a visa to enter the country, and some Attendees will be required by the Chinese Consulate in their home countries to have a visa invitation letter from a Chinese entity in order to obtain the required visa. The ABACE website has guidance, resources and contact information to ensure that Attendees have all of the paperwork necessary to apply for a visa to enter the country, and NBAA is facilitating the visa-letter process for ABACE Attendees. Review the ABACE2012 visa information.

Publisher and commentator Steve Forbes, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Media, will serve as keynote speaker for the gala dinner being held as part of the upcoming Asian Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (ABACE2012). “We are very excited to have Steve Forbes joining us at ABACE2012,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “As a highly regarded voice of business throughout the world, it’s fitting that Forbes Media would have a presence at an event that will draw the top business leaders from across the Asian region. Steve is widely recognized for his ability to spot and analyze business trends, and we very much look forward to hearing Steve’s insights and perspectives about the potential for business aviation in Asia.” Read the press release about Forbes’s appearance at ABACE2012, and learn more about attending the Gala event.

Hurun Report will serve as the Official Media Partner for ABACE2012, serving as a major promoter and participant in the upcoming event. “This publication speaks directly to business leaders in China and across the Asian region, allowing us to generate unparalleled visibility for the show and draw business leaders to the event from across China and beyond,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. The publication leads a growing roster of more than 30 media partners and supporters with long-established visibility and relationships among leaders in aviation, business and government in Asia and around the world. ABACE2012 Exhibit Floor, Pavilion, Static Display Chalets Sell Out
As the weeks wind down toward ABACE2012, an unprecedented level of Exhibitor interest has led to a sold out Exhibit space, not only on the main show floor, but also in a new pavilion area created to accommodate added demand. View the ABACE2012 Exhibit floor and pavilion. Additionally, the chalets accompanying the ABACE2012 aircraft display have sold out. “This news is further evidence of ABACE’s standing as Asia’s premier business aviation event,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. Read the press releases about the sold out Exhibit floor, pavilion and chalets.

All Major Aircraft Manufacturers Participating in ABACE2012
When NBAA and AsBAA announced plans to reintroduce ABACE in 2012, the news was greeted with support from all of the major business aviation manufacturers. Looking ahead to the show, all of those manufacturers have formalized their spoken support for the event into signed contracts for exhibiting on the ABACE2012 Static Display of Aircraft. “We are delighted to have full participation from the world’s aircraft manufacturers at ABACE2012,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “The involvement of so many manufacturers provides show Attendees with an unparalleled opportunity to make an up-close, side-by-side comparison of a number of aircraft types, so that prospective buyers can consider which aircraft type would best suit their transportation needs.” View a list of aircraft scheduled for the Static Display, and view the current floor plan for the display.
ABACE will be the only show with a comprehensive roster of informative sessions on financing, purchasing, operating and maintaining an aircraft. For example, a March 28 education session will explore the companies financing business aircraft acquisitions in the Asian region, what factors influence financing options and availability and other issues related to aircraft financing. A March 29 session focusing on business aircraft safety and security will include leading experts from around the world in a discussion on the steps aircraft owners and operators must take to ensure safe and secure flights.
